According to Uruguayan media reports, the Halmon S.A. beef processing plant (365 Plant) in Uruguay has confirmed that it will suspend production in February and March of this year. The slaughtering operations are not expected to resume until at least April.
The main reason for the shutdown is a lack of orders, and operations at the plant began to gradually cease from this week. However, as of now, the official website of China's General Administration of Customs still shows that the 365 Plant in Uruguay remains in normal status for exports to China.
