The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced "two stabilization and one reduction" measures to stabilize the production and supply of pork at a press conference recently. Specifically, "two stabilization" mean to stabilize the breeding sow inventory and stabilize the pork output. "One reduction" means to reduce the cost of pig farming.
To stabilize the breeding sow inventory, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will take measures such as accelerating pollution control in breeding sow farms, reducing the burden of breeding sow farming, and strengthening livestock and poultry disease prevention and control to improve the breeding environment and production efficiency, thus stabilizing pork supply.
To stabilize pork output, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will adopt various measures, including expanding virtual slaughterhouses and increasing pig slaughter channels. At the same time, it will also support and encourage the promotion of modern pig farming models and technologies and increase the supporting promotion efforts for pig breeding.
To reduce the cost of pig farming, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will strengthen the construction of environmental protection facilities in breeding farms and reduce pollution discharge fees, support the reduction of the production cost of pig feed, encourage farms to use green, organic feed, and additives. It will also carry out "zero waste" design assessments and promote eco-cycling pig farming.
In summary, these measures aim to help stabilize pork production and supply and ensure the basic living needs of the people.
