Due to the outbreak of foot-to-mouth disease in Colombia in 2017 and 2018, GACC had implemented suspension of Colombian meat import. Through vaccination and heath control measures conducted by the Colombian government, the disease had been contained and Colombia has resumed “zero foot-to-mouth disease’ country status in 2020. Recently, GACC and China’s Ministry of Agriculture have announced to lift import restrictions on Colombian beef and pork.
