According to data collected from 500 wholesales markets, the average pork price in the 1st week of Feb. was 27.87RMB/kg, decreased by 3.5% compared with the previous week, and increased by 6.1% compared with the same time last year. Pork prices have declined in all 30 provinces being monitored. The average pork prices in the southern region are relatively higher at 33.98RMB/KG. The average pork prices in the northern region are relatively lower at 22.61RMB/KG. The average chicken price was 24.87RMB/KG, decreased by 1.1% compared with the previous week, and increased by 7.2% compared with the same time last year. The average beef price was 88.36RMB/KG, decreased by 0.5% compared with the previous week, and by 1.0% compared with the same time last year.
