As Chinese Lunar New year is approaching, pre-made meals are in high demand from restaurants, supermarkets and e-commerce stores. According to a grocery e-commerce platform, this year’s Lunar New Year dinner will generate a significant increase in pre-made meals selling by around 500 percent compared with the same period last year. T-Mall indicates its pre-made meals selling volume has increased by 16 times this year. Consumers have grown increasingly fond of pre-made meals and prone to make consumption more and more frequently.
