On 17th Nov, 2022, The Greenland Representation in Beijing paid a visit to China Cold Chain Industry Investment Group’s headquarter office. The distinguished guests are Mr. Jacob Isbosethsen, Head of Representation of Greenland in Beijing, and Ms. Jiaxin Zhou, Commercial and Executive Officer. Mr.Guoxin Song, Chairman of CCII, Mr.Lin Ren, President of CCII and Ms.Tina Zhao, Commercial Director received the guests with hospitality. The two sides exchanged in-depth communication regarding issues such as Greenland’s high-quality aquatic products and Chinese domestic aquatic market.
And then Mr. Isbosethsen introduced Greenland’s aquatic product export and its market promotion in China. Mr. Isbosethsen said that Greenland is the largest island on earth, and owns the most advanced aquatic breeding and fishing technology. Greenland’s aquatic export volume accounts for 90% of its overall export. And China takes up 27% of Greenland’s aquatic exports. The purity of Greenland’s environment and its North Arctic water created tasty and nutritious aquatic food, such as shrimps, cod fish and halibut fish. Mr.Isbosethsen highlighted that the Greenland government attaches great importance to sustainability and food safety. All of Greenland’s aquatic products are certified by MSC and in meet EU standards. Mr. Isbosethsen expressed his recognition and appreciation for CCII and its wide scope of business and look forward to collaborate with CCII to promote Greenland’s aquatic products in China. Mr. Isbosethsen would like to help build connection and promote business between CCII and 3 major Greenland’s aquatic companies, namely Royal Greenland, Pola Seafood and Iceberg Seafood.
In addition, the two sides had thorough discussions on hot topics such as China’s pre-made meals industry, consumers habit, and China’s aquatic market development. A great level of consensus has been reached by the two sides regarding optimize cooperation with each other’s resources and advantages.
